In the 2024 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects by the independent ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, U of T Law ranked first in Canada and in the top 25, globally.

U of T Law is one of only two Canadian schools to rank in the global top 50.

U of T also ranked in the top 100 globally in 42 subjects in the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2024, released last week – a feat matched only by the University of Michigan.

Jérémy Boulanger-Bonnelly (SJD 2023), an assistant professor at the McGill University Faculty of Law, has won the best scholarly paper in the annual legal writing competition by the Fondation du Barreau du Québec (Bar of Quebec)He was recognized for his McGill Law Journal article, "Actions collectives et tribunaux administratifs : un vide juridictionnel à combler" (2022).
