The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that it has just been invited by the International Court of Justice in The Hague to join a very small number of elite law schools internationally that may submit applications from graduating students to the Court’s nine-month “University Traineeship Programme.”

(Jan. 26, 2011) Faculty of the University of Toronto law school, led by Prof. Anita Anand, have launched the Canadian Securities Law Portal.

The portal is dedicated to facilitating discussion and debate regarding the proposed national securities regulator, including gathering together in one place all of the relevant material for the federal reference to the Supreme Court of Canada, and provincial references to the courts of appeal of Alberta and Quebec. These constitutional references are extremely important to the future of capital markets in Canada.
