The Private Law Writing Prize is awarded to the best student paper(s) on a topic in private law. The annual competition is open to our current JD students and is awarded at the end of the academic year. 

The winner of the latest prize is Michael Law-Smith (JD/PhD, Philosophy) for his paper, "The Tort of Malicious Prosecution: A Principled Account". 

The paper is forthcoming in Volume 69(2) of the McGill Law Journal
