Faculty of Law graduate Alasdair Roberts (LLB 1984) a Professor of Public Policy and Director of the School of Public Policy
at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, has been recognized by the Section on International and Comparative Administration (SICA) with the 2022 Fred Riggs Award for Lifetime Achievement.  

"The Riggs Award, granted by the American Society for Public Administration’s (ASPA) Section on International and Comparative Administration (SICA), recognizes scholars who have made “significant and widely recognized contributions to the conceptual, theoretical and/or operational progress in the fields of international, comparative and/or development administration.” It was created in 1985 in honor of SICA founder Fred W. Riggs," reports University of Massachusetts Amherst News. 

Professor Roberts is the author of several books, including The Logic of Discipline: Global Capitalism and The Architecture of Government.
