The Career Development Centre has posted the latest statistics for law’s Class of 2018, and the Faculty of Law is pleased to see 98% of the graduates known to be actively seeking articling placements have secured a position. There were 214 graduates, and 196 found positions, with 10 pursuing other plans, such as further study or non-legal employment, while 5 did not respond to the survey. In a commentary in the Globe and Mail on the anniversary of the acquittal of Gerald Stanley for the killing of Colton Boushie, Prof. Kent Roach assesses what little has been done, and what more needs to be done, to ensure "Canadian justice does not continue to be experienced by Indigenous people as injustice."
