After placing first at the in Canadian round, JD students Vidit Desai (2L), Arik Portnov (2L), Eyal Wilk (2L), and Foti Vito (3L) represented Canada at the international rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, held in Washington, D.C., March 30 - April 6, 2024.

The team automatically advanced to the 'Round of 32' after a strong showing in the Preliminary Rounds, ranking 12th.

The team finished as Octo-Finalists and as the last standing Canadian team. They tied for 9th place overall and were awarded the Alona M. Evans Award for 5th best overall memorials (written submissions).

This year’s Jessup Moot saw a record number of 674 participating teams, representing 100 countries and jurisdictions.

The 2nd place team from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (Argentina) was coached by U of T Law master's student Ignacio Mazal (LLM 2024).
