Ronald G. Slaght '70 received his Law Society Medal Alumnus Ronald G. Slaght, Q.C., '70, recognized by the legal community as one of Canada's pre-eminent litigation lawyers, was awarded a Law Society Medal on May 25, 2011.

Credited with leading the profession in re-establishing civility as a shared expectation among all engaged in the practice of law, Slaght received his LL.B. from the University of Toronto in 1970 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1972.

Established in 1985, the Law Society Medal is given to outstanding lawyers in Ontario in recognition of exceptional service in a particular area of practice, the academic sphere or some other professional capacity.
