Prof. Arthur Ripstein(Sept.  14, 2010) Prof. Arthur Ripstein has been elected as a new Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. The Royal Society, “Canada’s National Academy,” is the country’s senior national body of distinguished Canadian scholars, artists and scientists. 

In its release, the RSC says  Ripstein is “an international leader in the fields of legal and political philosophy,” and the “world’s most significant interpreter of Immanuel Kant’s political philosophy.” Ripstein joins many other current and former members of the Faculty of Law who have been elected as Royal Society Fellows. The law school congratulates Prof. Ripstein on this prestigious appointment!
