On Tuesday the Liberal party joined the NDP and the Bloc in declaring its intention to defeat Bill C-49, the government’s bill on human smuggling. The government insists it will put the bill to a vote anyway.

Rob Prichard '75(Sept. 21, 2010) It’s been a busy month for former law dean and UofT president, Rob Prichard, LLB ’75. Today, publishing house Penguin Canada announced his appointment as its new chairman. Prichard was also recently appointed chair of the international business law firm Torys LLP.
