The International Human Rights Clinic has prepared an amicus curiae brief in a case in the United States seeking to end the exclusion of same-sex couples from marriage. The brief was signed by distinguished American and Canadian legal scholars with expertise in human rights and constitutional law, including Professors Sujit Choudhry and Brenda Cossman of the University of Toronto. Noah Novogrodsky, the Clinic Director, currently on sabbatical at Georgetown University, signed as counsel.
