Adjunct Professor Darryl Robinson was interviewed on CTV Newsnet by Sandra Jansen on March 8, 2007, concerning Omar Khadr, the Canadian held at Guantanamo.

He discussed Khadr's recently reported decision to boycott proceedings before the military commission, and situated it within a context of alleged serious mistreatment and continuing lack of fair trial, even under the new rules. He acknowledged that Canadians may have mixed views because because the charges against Khadr are serious - although there are legal and factual questions that could be raised about those charges. The case raises the question of our values, since, whatever the facts, he should receive a fair trial and freedom from cruel treatment.
