How To Apply for PDRAP

PDRAP Application Process

New alumni can apply to the program the year after they graduate. For example, alumni who graduated in 2024 may apply for PDRAP benefits in 2025. Since these alumni would not have an NOA for the previous full year of employment, their PDRAP benefit will be based on estimated income for the upcoming year. Their PDRAP benefit will be issued in two payments. The first payment in mid-August, once the application is processed. The second payment will be issued in mid-March, once the applicants confirm their employment (end of December pay stub) and their latest loan information. This information must be provided by January 15, 2026. Finally, once the 2025 NOAs are available, the final PDRAP benefit will be recalculated and the loan adjusted.

All other applicants' PDRAP benefits will be calculated based on the last year's earnings and actual debt payments made. Please note: This is a recent change in the program.  

The application deadline is June 15th. PDRAP applications are assessed based on a participant's financial situation for the previous calendar year. An application must be made each calendar year. No supporting documents will be accepted after July 15th.

Decisions on complete PDRAP applications will be communicated to participants by letter in June of each year.
