David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights

Rob brings an impressive educational and work experience in constitutional rights to the Centre. Rob has a JD from Stanford Law School and a PhD in political science from the University of Texas at Austin. He has worked most recently with the Centre for Constitutional Studies at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, where he also taught constitutional law as an adjunct faculty member. He previously worked with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association directing interventions in courts across the country and advocating for the Association’s policy positions. Rob will be working with the Centre to enhance its legal research and policy advocacy capacity. His current research interests include positive rights under the Charter and the use of the Charter’s notwithstanding clause, both of which are current Asper Centre projects.
