Adjunct Professor

Brendan van Niejenhuis, B.A. (Hons.) (Toronto) 1998, LL.B. (Toronto) 2001, was called to the Ontario bar in 2001. After clerking for Iacobucci J. at the Supreme Court of Canada, he joined Stockwoods LLP, where he has practiced administrative and civil litigation since 2002. He has been counsel on various matters of public significance, including prosecuting police misconduct arising from the Toronto G20, representing First Nations in judicial review and civil claims against the Crown, and enforcing federal privacy legislation against Facebook. He taught Administrative Law at the Queen’s Faculty of Law and Osgoode Hall Law School for sixteen years, and frequently speaks on topics of current professional interest. Contactbrendanvn@stockwoods.ca
