De-Risking Legal Communication Through Design
w/ Jacklynn Pham, BC Public Service, and Daniel Yi, US Department of Justice

Monday, November 21st from 4pm-5pm
Virtual Event

Lawyers communicate. A lot. Every single day, we produce countless documents, agreements, memos, emails, and more. And every piece of content you produce has a communication goal: you are trying to get people to do or understand something. Better communication design can greatly reduce errors and increase our effectiveness as lawyers. And it is something we can start doing right now, with no real barriers to entry.

Jacklynn Pham and Daniel Yi teach “Communication Design & Law: Re-Designing Legal Information” at Georgetown University. Jacklynn is a designer with over a decade of experience, in local and federal government and the private sector as a consultant and at Google. Daniel Yi is Senior Counsel for Legal Innovation for the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, a lecturer at Harvard Law School, and a member of the board of directors for the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium.
