It’s back!! The 2024 Promise Auction Trivia Night will be held on February 29th. The Promise Auction Week has raised money for local Indigenous organizations for over 10 years! With the amazing support of our community, we have raised thousands of dollars for various Indigenous organizations.

This year, we are excited to announce that the Promise Auction Trivia Night will return in-person at the Law School! An Indigenous-owned caterer will be providing some delicious snacks for the evening. For those who cannot attend in person, we will also provide a hybrid Zoom option.

Former Jeopardy champion Professor Anthony Niblett will once again host the trivia. Participants can organize teams of up to four. We invite all UofT Law students, staff, faculty, alumni, and friends to register and participate. Raise money for Indigenous organizations, test your knowledge, and have a great time!

How to Register! 

  1. Grab a group of 2-4 friends or colleagues (and choose a team name!). If you want to register as an individual free agent, complete the steps below and we will put you on a team!
  2. Donate to one of the following organizations:
  1. Keep the donation receipt or take a screenshot of your donation confirmation
  2. Pick a team captain to send an email to law.promiseauction@gmail.com with the following information:

a)     Names and emails of all your team members (please send us the email addresses associated with each team member's zoom account as we will need these for assigning any virtual teams to a breakout room)

b)     Proofs of donation from all your team members

  1. Attend the trivia night on February 29th! There will be prizes for the top team!

There are no mandatory donation amounts, however, we suggest the following donation amounts: 

  • Students: $10 per person
  • Alumni who are recently called, at the associate level, and other professionals: $30 per person 
  • Alumni who are at the professor or partner level: $100 per person

You are welcome to donate more if you have the means.
