The Gale Cup Moot, founded in 1974, is Canada’s premier bilingual criminal/constitutional mooting competition, led by key sponsors, the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Criminal Lawyers' Association.

Third-year JD students Akash Jain and Henry Mann (appellant) and second-year JD students Humza Khan and Sarah Zaitlin (respondents), competed this year, with Jain and Mann winning the second place Peter Cory Factum Prize.

The Gale Cup team members also coached first-year students to a win at the "Baby Gale," between U of T Law and Osgoode Law School.

The Gale Cup team thanks Adjunct Moot Advisors, Meghan Bridges (JD 2014), a partner at Lenczner Slaght, Holly Kallmeyer (JD 2019), an associate in McCarthy Tétrault's litigation group, and Adjunct Professor Paul-Erik Veel (JD/MA 2019), a partner at Lenczner Slaght.

They were also coached by members of last year's winning Gale Cup team, third-year JD students Brynne Dalmao and Elizabeth Hicks.
