Janice oversees the day-to-day operation of BFL and its various activities, including developing and implementing mentorship opportunities, workshops, events, and the annual conference. Black Future Lawyers (BFL) was founded as collaboration between U of T Law, our Black Law Students’ Association (BLSA), members of our Black alumni community, and the broader legal profession. Funded by U of T's Provost's office, law firm donors, and U of T Law, BFL offers supports and engagement opportunities to Black undergraduate students who aspire to go to law school and become lawyers.
