Established in 2012, a select number of leading law schools worldwide formed the the Law Schools Global League (LSGL). These law schools share a commitment to the globalization of law and a to integrating global law in their teaching and research. The LSGL is comprised of 32 member schools from 24 countries, across five continents.

The University of Edinburgh Law School hosted the February Deans Meeting where where Dean and University Professor Jutta Brunnée was in attendance, and U of T Law was welcomed as a new LSGL member. Activities included an academic conference focused on Global Law, Community, and Solidarity; in-depth discussion on the challenges and opportunities in global legal education amongst law school Deans; and the first regional edition of the Global Legal Tech Competition, where startups pitched their latest innovations. Global Legal Tech Competitions will be held at member schools at future dates.
