The WeirFoulds-Arnup Cup is the premier trial advocacy competition for law schools in Ontario. WeirFoulds LLP organizes and sponsors the annual competition in which student teams conduct trials before a Superior Court judge with witnesses and a jury. The teams vie for the right to represent Ontario in the Sopinka Cup, Canada’s national trial advocacy competition held annually in Ottawa.

Third-year students, Janna Getty and Olivia Schenk were successful finalists in the Ontario regional Arnup Cup. They were the only defence team at the Arnup Cup to advance to the Sopinka Cup, where they faced off against eight law schools from around the country, including two other teams from Ontario.

Janna and Olivia thank their Adjunct Moot  Advisors Corie Langdon, an Assistant Crown Attorney with the Toronto Region Crown Attorney's Office, Emily Marrocco, an Assistant Crown Attorney, who currently works with Guns and Gangs Unit in Toronto, and criminal lawyer, Royland Moriah.

Established in 1988, the WeirFoulds-Arnup Cup is named in honour of the late Honourable John D. Arnup OC, QC, a legendary Canadian litigator, former partner of WeirFoulds, and esteemed member of the Court of Appeal for Ontario.
