Congratulations to this year’s Wilson Moot team!

Founded in 1992, The Wilson Moot hours the outstanding contributions to Canadian law made by the late Honourable Bertha Wilson and, "in the spirit of this contribution, to promote justice for those disempowered within the legal system." 

The fact pattern was a difficult interplay between administrative law and constitutional rights. The students demonstrated sophisticated understanding of the legal issues along with tremendous advocacy skills.

Carson Cook (2L), Jarren Fefer (2L), Liza Markova (2L) and Joshua Schwartz (2L) placed first overall going into the final round of the competition and took second place in the end with the win going to UAlberta Law.

A special congratulations to Joshua Schwartz who also took home second place oralist.

Thanks go to faculty coaches Cheryl Milne, Executive Director of the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights and Joseph Cheng, General Counsel with the Department of Justice Canada, National Litigation Sector (Ontario Regional Office), as well as the team's student coaches, Nicholas Heinrich (3L) and David Coté (3L).
