The authors are judges, lawyers, and law professors with wide-ranging legal practices in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario including at Bay Street and small boutique firms.

Jim Ware (LLB 1968) to be inducted to University of Toronto Sports Hall of Fame

This May, U of T Law graduate Jim Ware (LLB 1968) will be inducted as a builder to the University of Toronto Sports Hall of Fame.

As founding president of the ‘Friends of Football’, Ware played a pivotal role as leader of the alumni group that helped save the Varsity Blues football program in the early 1990's.

In Memoriam: Professor Emeritus Edmund Alexander

It is with immense sadness that the Faculty of Law announces the passing of Professor Emeritus Edmund Alexander.

Born and raised in Toronto, Professor Alexander graduated from the University of Toronto in 1953 with a Bachelor of Commerce and the Faculty of Law with a Bachelor of Laws in 1956.

After briefly teaching in Ottawa, he returned to Toronto and spent 25 years teaching at the Faculty of Law. He was a passionate and dedicated professor, leaving a legacy of kindness and generosity to students and colleagues alike.
