Justice Ira G. Parghi (LLB 1997) appointed to Superior Court of Justice of Ontario

On May 13, 2024, the Hon. Arif Virani (LLB 1998), Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, announced the appointment of Justice Ira G. Parghi (LLB 1997) to the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario.

Justice Parghi was born and raised in Kamloops and is the proud daughter of Indian immigrants. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy (with distinction) from Stanford University and went on to earn her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 1998. Justice Parghi also holds a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and has been admitted to the bars of Ontario, New York, and California.
