It's as spectacular as it looks--the Jackman Law Building is open to the public, and we wanted to share some recent photos with you.
During exam time, the stunning and light-filled Torys Hall is reserved solely for law students.
Whether by the glass walls, or tucked near the fireplace, students have plenty of study space, with ample tables, and new comfortable chairs for their use. And outlets too, lots of them, for their laptops and tablets.
Another feature that saw much usage during this term were the meeting rooms, where students could collaborate comfortably in a library setting.
Here's the opening to the Bora Laskin Library, flooded with light coming in from the Flavelle House back area. This opening also flows into the Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP Atrium, and forms part of the 'nexus' of the old and new parts of the Faculty of Law.
It's quiet here now, but this foyer, named the Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP Atrium, will be a busy place when the law school starts up again in August, for the incoming Class of 2019, and then September, when the remainder of law students return.
Looking up, here's the point where the Jackman Law Building meets the renovated Bora Laskin Library.
Here's the view of the Jackman Law Building look north from Hoskin Ave towards Queen's Park Crescent. The new curve flows along the old curve.
There's no missing the fact the Jackman Law Building is situated in a prime downtown Toronto location. Here's the view just before one enters the new moot court room.
Fully accessible, like the entire new facility, here's the Rosalie Silberman Abella Moot Court Room. Stay tuned for a special edition of the annual Grand Moot, coming up this fall!
